Boho Vibe

Don’t you just love the Boho vibe, even if it is not your normal style taste, it feels welcoming and homely. We wanted to show you a room designed with this interior design style, and give you all my tips on how to create the look. We used a lot of furniture from one of our favourite stores, because they are great value, have excellent quality. They tend to lean towards what is important to the whole idea of Boho and that is to use products made from natural elements and materials.

If you are thinking to redecorate your living room with the Boho look start with the color of the walls, white always works well, but we wanted to make the room feel warm and inviting, a place where you would want to spend time, relaxing surrounded by beautiful things. If you love plants, this is the prefect design to add as many as you want,if you have time to look after them, and your living room has natural light.

We wanted to make it easy for you to put this look together, so you can find all the products from the shopping List below the Moodboard.

Once you have the walls decided on, think about the main furniture, the sofa, sideboard any shelving, coffee table and side tables. As you can see we choose a white sofa as we felt it gives the option to play with all the patterns, textures and colors in the boho style. This will give a mix as long as they blend well. The rug in the design a is wool area rug of 8x10’ as this frames nicely the sofa and tables. It is soft and warm on the feet and durable when looked after. A small pouff adds extra comfort to put your feet up and can be used to put a tray on top. The tables, sideboard and shelving are made from wood although, ratton or leather would work too.

The curtains need to let the light in, so white seemed the perfect option and contrasted against the coral colored walls.

The final touches are the small details, this can look over done so we added a few art pieces on the wall including a hand made macrame wall hanging, lots of potted plants, ceramic candle holders and a few decorative pieces.

If you want to go the whole way to get this look add fake beams to your ceiling, by contracting a local carpenter you will be surprised just how much it can change the look of the room.
